At Wrigley Field today for the Cubs and Reds. Pretty amazing place. That said, it's great to see a dude in a Lincecum shirt, Cain as the NL win leader, and BWeez as the NL save leader, here in Chitown. Let's go Giants! ...and yeah, go Cubs too.

Last Night

Last Night, I had my favorite Giant's moment of my life. Last night the most unlikely thing happened. No one saw this coming. Nobody would have believed you if you predicted it. The oddsmakers in Vegas probably would have staked it at 500,000 to 1. Last Night. Jonathan Sanchez, at 2-8 with an +5.00 ERA, and a WHIP Near 2.0 Threw the Greatest Game by a Giant in over 33 years. Say it with me, Jonathan Sanchez threw a no-hitter. It defies logic to just read that sentence out loud.

Last night Sanchez was the king of baseball, he had crisp control of his pitches, he was making batters look like absolute fools (one batter struck out swinging on a pitch that hit him in the foot for Christs sakes) He wasn't his usual mental case meltdown self. The defense had his back. He was cool, confident, and the man. He came one bad hop away from being just the 16th man in all of Major history to record a perfect game, somehow though I think he's ok with the n0,no.

Last night will always be special to me. I am so thrilled I got to witness history. My baseball bucket list has one less item on it. Thank you Sanchez, I know you and I have had out ups and downs, but last night was epic.

some advice

Top of the fifth, currently.

Now. I know I'm not a professional baseball player. Not only am I a girl, but it's a little too late for me.

That said, here are some tips that maybe some of the Giants should take to heart.

- Hitters, STOP SWINGING AT THE FIRST PITCH. Schierholtz has popped up twice on the first pitch. Ishikawa swung at the first pitch and hit into a double play with Pablo on 3rd and Renteria on 1st. STOP IT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO SWING AT EVERYTHING.

- Pitchers, THROW STRIKES. I actually yelled this at Valdez on Sunday, and Wilson could have used some of this yelled at him on Monday. (And now Sadowski has just walked the pitcher.)

THINK ABOUT IT.

Girl, where you at.

July is the busiest month of the year for me at work, and so June has been ramping up to the crazy that is July. That's where I've been.

That said, I went to yesterday's game (sad times, but great seats) and am going again on Sunday for B-Weezy Bobblehead. Of course I am.

Today's news: Randy Johnson is on the DL, and Kevin Frandsen's back up again. Good call on bringing in Franny -- we've got a huge bullpen (twelve guys! Timmy, Cain, Zito, Sanchez, Sadowski, Miller, Medders, Affeldt, Howry, Valdez, Romo, and Wilson), and our infield is mighty sparse. When we have to bring in Aurilia to play 3rd because Pablo's banged up his knee, thin infield. My bet is on Sanchez to get handed the ball on RJ's next turn, which would be this Friday against the Dads.

While I'd really like to point out that we were among the first who predicted Cain as an All-Star back on June 1st (along with Timmy, of course), we've still got a chance to get Pablo in! So don't forget to vote for Pablo!

ALL-STAR selections

Cain and Lincecum is in.... Sandoval needs to be voted in if he is to make it. Vote for the Panda!!! You can vote as many times as you can/want! Thoughts on the teams? Were the Giants snubbed?

Talk about a positive day!

That Kaiser Permanente lady says my heart beats 2.5 million times in my life.

They’re all for Timmy.

23 innings not a single run allowed.

No runner allowed past second base for the last 13 innings.

We have outscored the Astro's 22-0 in this series... and we have a game left to play

We are now 8 games over .500 at the halfway point. My friends I have to say we are a healthy ballclub.

Oh yea and one more thing... We have the second best record in the National League!

So much for a power-outage

In their last 4 games, Giants have out hit opponents 52-24 and outscored them 29-10 while hitting .344 and .400 with RISP
